Webmaster Jam Session

October 7, 2008
This year's Webmaster Jam Session was just as fun and exciting as last year's, but instead of Dallas, this year it was in Atlanta. I presented a panel called Design Disrepair where I talked about maintaining and renovating websites the same way you would a house.

Mathis Visit

October 7, 2008
Ed and Donna came up to visit over the long Labor Day weekend. While they were up, we went to the USC vs NCState game and drove up to Asheville to see The Biltmore and Looking Glass Falls.

Tom and Ritu's Wedding

October 7, 2008
On Saturday Ames and I carpooled with coworkers up to Greenville, SC to see our friends Tom and Ritu get married. Ritu is Indian so this was the first traditional Indian wedding we've ever been to. It was a beautiful wedding, the food was delicious and we got to see Tom ride in on a white horse.

At this year's International Potluck lunch, the Chemical Engineering department honored Ashley for all the work she's done as the REU coordinator. We'll miss her and Casey a lot. Also, at the end of the gallery there's a few pictures of out trip to the river. We would have taken more but we were afraid the camera might get wet.

Fifth Anniversary

October 7, 2008
For our fifth wedding anniversary, Ames and I took a 3 day vacation to Savannah, GA. We had a great time walking the historic streets, eating at places like The Olde Pink House and Vinnie Van Go Go's and chilling on the beach at Tybee Island.

Painting Begins

October 7, 2008
Stump grinding didn't work out, so we decided to paint the house instead. Of course the colors we picked, didn't match our intended color scheme, but we still think it looks great. Our neighbors especially like what we've done with the windows. We are very tired.

Eirini's Baby Shower

October 7, 2008
Amy made another (see the list) amazing cake creation over the 4th of July weekend, this time to celebrate Eirini and Jan's amazing creation. The baby shower was fun. To finish off the weekend we went to Lowe's and bought a little bit of paint.

Master Bath

October 7, 2008
For over a year now, we've been avoiding using the shower in our master bathroom after we discovered it occasionally leaked into the downstairs bedroom. We had intended to make it "usable" but adding some shower doors and finishing the wallpaper removal until Amy found a killer deal on a faucet set. Then I had some plumbing to do...

Tree Removal

October 7, 2008
Ames and I had the 5 pines in our yard, and the big oak on the corner of our house removed to make way and let in some sunlight for our landscaping projects.

April & May 2008

October 7, 2008
This is what happens when I don't post pictures for 2 months. There's too much going on in this gallery to describe in one little text box. For a quick summary, read the blog post.
